Head of Technology

A great opportunity has risen for a Head of Technology position at Asthma + Lung UK, which is now entering a new phase after a merger in 2020 and subsequently significant technological transformation. We now need to optimise our tech platforms and ensure the charity can work as efficiently and effectively as possible.

Asthma + Lung UK is the only charity in the UK fighting for everyone with a lung condition, aiming for a world where everyone can breathe with healthy lungs. We fund cutting-edge research, provide advice and support for the 12 million people who will get a lung condition during their lifetime. We also campaign for clean air and for better NHS diagnosis and treatment.

Responsibilities:

1. Build on the technology platforms and ensure they remain fit for purpose.
2. Support the charity in maximising their value to underpin business delivery.
3. Plan effectively over multi-year timespans and horizon scan for future technology use.
4. Demonstrate good judgement on critical decisions through risk assessment and impact evaluation.
5. Deliver a range of change methodologies.
