About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer - Nuclear Safety to join our team in the UK. As a key member of the Site Safety Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe design, construction and operation of nuclear facilities.
Main Responsibilities:
- Author nuclear safety cases for the build and commission of Dreadnought and future class submarines;
- Develop and implement safety case requirements;
- Manage internal and external interfaces, such as Engineering Authorities, Human Factors, regulatory bodies, MOD;
- Potential line management and development responsibilities for less senior team-members;
What You'll Need:
- Degree level qualification in a relevant discipline (engineering or physical sciences);
- Previous experience in safety analysis and safety case production for high hazard industries;
- Chartered engineer (or actively working toward this);
- Previous experience working for a nuclear site and/or on the submarine programme;
- Some relevant nuclear and/or safety degree programmes at these universities: Heriot-Watt, Aberdeen, Cranfield, Strathclyde, Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham;
