Park Warden - Belfast

Park Warden required to work with the Belfast City Council based in the Belfast area. This post is initially on a temporary basis for 3 months with the possibility of an extension. The post is full-time working 37 hours a week between the hours of 6.30am -11pm, Monday to Sunday. The hourly rate of pay Monday to Friday is £13.93, Saturday is £20.01 and Sunday is £27.86.

A successful candidate’s main duties will include:

• Enforcing council bye-laws such as dog control orders and litter control
• Patrolling the park and allotments
• Identifying problems and handling issues related to antisocial behaviour
• Updating and maintaining park opening signs
• Undertaking routine inspections of paths, park furniture, lighting and reporting any issues
• To lift litter, waste, rubbish and hazardous materials such as glass bottles, dog fouling etc
• Carry out daily vehicle and equipment checks

What We Need From You

• Clean and current UK driving licence
• 1 year relevant work experience dealing with members of the public
• Experience working within a security role, for example, opening/closing facilities, carrying out patrols, setting alarms, recording and reporting incidents and working with other statutory bodies
• working in an enforcement or legislative role, for example, dog control orders, litter code and, or alcohol enforcement
