Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our finance team as an Accounting Intern. This position will offer the successful candidate a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various accounting processes and financial management practices within [Company Name]. The Accounting Intern will support our accounting department with bookkeeping, reporting, and financial analysis tasks, while also having the opportunity to participate in special projects that contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of our financial operations.
Responsibilities :
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Support the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely processing of invoices and management of vendor and customer relationships.
- Help with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries and other accounting adjustments.
- Participate in the budgeting and forecasting process, compiling necessary documentation and data analysis.
- Conduct financial analysis and create reports to support decision-making processes.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and company policies.
- Assist with tax preparations and filings, under the guidance of senior staff.
- Engage in special projects and initiatives as directed by the accounting manager or senior accountants.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong academic record and a basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Familiarity with accounting software is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Availability to work up to 30 hours per week per week during for the duration of the internship.
