Under the Director of Campus Ministry, the Campus Minister (CM) assists in the planning, design, administration, and execution of Campus Ministry programs in alignment with other parts of the school. As a member of the Campus Ministry team, the CM:
- Participates in weekly prayer and department meetings.
- Regularly collaborates on programs with other members of the Campus Ministry team.
- Helps design, prepare, and implement all-school liturgies and prayer opportunities, service programs, class Masses and prayer services, student immersion trips, schoolwide charitable drives, and retreats.
- Directs one overnight retreat and attends one or two others.
- Is available for students in need of pastoral care or spiritual guidance.
- Communicates with school counselors, teachers, and administrators, to support the emotional, psychological, and spiritual well-being of students.
- Leads weekly meetings for a grade-level student Pastoral team.
- Creates leadership opportunities for students to help build pastoral programs.
- Attends faculty meetings and other school events at the Principal's discretion.
The CM also serves as a classroom teacher in the candidate's field of expertise for a total of 3 sections.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Successful pastoral leadership experience at the high school level
- Strong understanding of liturgy, community service, and retreat programs
- Experience and interest in working with adolescents
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Practicing Catholic who engages with prayer and is willing to share one's faith journey
- Available to occasionally work nights and weekends
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Jesuit education
- Master's Degree
- Familiarity with Google Suite
