SUMMARY:

Our CDL Drivers play a critical role in day to day operations: interacting with customers, sales representatives, and vendors daily to meet the expectations of the business. They are responsible for delivering, unloading and checking in the product to customers each day. Along with supporting our production team during downtime, such as: packing our product, driving forklift to help move our product, washing totes, and other support functions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Drive assigned route in a safe, efficient, timely and legal manner.
  • Transport and deliver product or goods and materials over the road over long distances in a safe, efficient, timely and legal manner.
  • Load and unload trailers
  • Pick up product or goods and materials, verify loads for accuracy, and deliver them as instructed
  • Complete and verify all necessary paperwork and maintain records required under state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Ensure that all operations are in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Perform routine inspection and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects/repairs to Company personnel.
  • Represent the Company and the trucking industry in a professional manner
  • Communicate with our logistics coordinator as needed
  • Comply with all safe work practices, policies, and processes at all times.
  • Maintain logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations through ELD trucking app.
  • Wear all required and necessary Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Represent the Company and the trucking industry in a professional manner.
  • Perform other duties as required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at a time.
  • Sitting for long periods of time
  • Travel as needed

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid Class A driver's license required.
  • Doubles, Triples, Tanker, and HAZMAT endorsements required.
  • Dispatch experience a plus.
  • Acceptable driving record.
  • Must pass a background check and drug test.
  • Skilled at driving large vehicles.
  • Comfortable maneuvering and parking a tractor-trailer.
  • Alert, focused, and detail-oriented.
  • Physically and mentally fit.
  • Able to operate an electric lift, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.
  • Proficient using GPS and other routing systems.
  • Microsoft Office knowledge a plus.
  • An innate sense of direction.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic maintenance principles preferred.
