Overview We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and fine dining, with a flair for creativity in food preparation and presentation. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety while managing a diverse team of cooks and kitchen staff. Responsibilities
- Lead the kitchen team in daily operations, ensuring efficient food preparation and service.
- Develop and design innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while meeting customer preferences.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, tracking stock levels, and minimizing waste.
- Oversee food service during peak hours to ensure timely delivery of high-quality dishes.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food safety practices, and presentation standards.
- Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with health regulations.
- Plan and execute banquet events, ensuring all aspects of food service are executed flawlessly.
- Monitor kitchen performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or fine dining establishment.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary trends, and dietary requirements.
- Experience with inventory control processes and cost management in a kitchen environment.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage shifts effectively and motivate staff.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in both cooking and presentation.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
- A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences to guests.
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification is preferred but not mandatory.
We are in the process of relocating to Moreno Valley. The candidate that is chosen will start working while we are open in Chino but once the renovations are complete in Moreno Valley, the entire staff will relocate there.
