Job Overview:

Liberty Behavioral & Community Services, a leading provider of services for individuals with autism and developmental disabilities, is dedicated to fostering independence, inclusion, and personal growth for our participants. We are currently seeking a full-time Clinical Director to join our dynamic team serving clients throughout Los Angeles County. As the Clinical Director at Liberty Behavioral & Community Services, Inc., you will have the unique opportunity to profoundly impact on the lives of individuals with special needs. The Clinical Director will lead and oversee both clinical and psychiatric services and will be responsible for ensuring the provision of high-quality therapeutic care, managing the psychiatric service team, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements. This leadership role will also involve clinical supervision, program development, and fostering a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Leadership:
  • Oversee all Clinical operations, including the development and delivery of mental health treatment plans and therapeutic interventions.
  • Provide direct clinical supervision to a team of clinicians, including therapists, social workers, and psychiatric staff.
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure consistent, high – quality care delivery across all levels or service.
  • Psychiatric Services Oversight:
    • Lead and manage the psychiatric services team, including psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and other related providers.
    • Oversee the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of psychiatric disorders, ensuring that appropriate medication management and therapy are in place for all clients.
    • Collaborate with psychiatrists and mental health professionals to ensure the integration of psychiatric services with clinical therapeutic interventions.
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable mental health regulations, licensing requirements, and best practice in psychiatric care.
  • Program Development and Implementation:
    • Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical and psychiatric programs that meet the needs of the community.
    • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of current treatment programs and recommend improvements.
    • Lead the design and implementation of new services or initiatives based on community needs and emerging clinical practices
  • Staff Supervision and Training:
    • Provide leadership and clinical supervision to a team of mental health professionals, including performance evaluations, coaching, and ongoing professional development.
    • Ensure that clinical staff are trained in the latest evidence – based practices and foster a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Promote teamwork and communication among interdisciplinary staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance:
    • Ensure that all clinical and psychiatric services meet or exceed quality standards set by state, federal, and licensing agencies.
    • Regularly review clinical documentation and practices for accuracy, compliance, and adherence to ethical standards.
    • Address any concerns of client care, safety, or staff performance, ensuring a safe and effective therapeutic environment.

Requirements

Qualifications :

  • Masters or Doctorate in Psychology, Social work, or a related field.
  • Licensed as a clinical social worker, psychologist, or marriage and family therapy
  • Board certification or licensure in Psychiatry or relevant field/psychiatric qualification preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a clinical leadership role, with a least 3 years in a psychiatric services environment
  • Strong knowledge of mental health diagnoses, psychiatric treatments, medication management, and evidence-based practices.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional leadership, supervisory, and communication skills.
  • Experience with electronic health records (HER) and clinical documentation systems preferred.
