Hours: Full-time, Wednesday through Sunday, 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Job Summary:
We are seeking to build a dedicated and enthusiastic Team for a new restaurant in the Castro. Positions we are seeking for: Sous Chef to work with the Lead Chef in developing and contributing to an already designed menu, to oversee operations, maintain standards, to guide and mentor the Chef de Partie and junior chefs/Commis; Chef de Partie( 3 positions) including responsible lead for Pizza and bread dough, and general Pattiserie station; at least 2 Commis positions to train as Chef de Partie assitants. The 'team' will work closely with the Executive Chef to prepare high-quality dishes, ensuring that every plate meets high standards of taste, presentation, and consistency. Key Responsibilities:
-Station management; Food Preparation; Supervision; Quality Control; Inventory management; Coordination; Adherence to Standards. These responsibilities may include the following:
- Ensure all ingredients are prepped and ready for service, including washing, chopping, and organizing produce and other ingredients.
- Help with the preparation of sauces, soups, stocks, and other essential components.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including washing dishes, cleaning workstations, and ensuring all kitchen tools are properly stored.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
- Assist with plating dishes and garnishing, ensuring that presentation is consistent and visually appealing.
- Participate in the inventory management process, helping to monitor stock levels and report any shortages to the Head Chef.
- Assist in maintaining kitchen equipment, ensuring everything is in working order and reporting any maintenance issues.
- Help ensure a smooth and efficient kitchen operation during service, providing support where needed to keep the kitchen running on time.
Qualifications:
- Strong culinary skills with expertise in different areas of cooking
- Passion for food and cooking, with a desire to expand culinary skills and knowledge.
- Strong work and personal ethic, able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to take direction well and collaborate as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to handle kitchen equipment and utensils safely.
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends, including Wednesday through Sunday from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Monday and Tuesdays are days off.
- Food handler’s certification (or willingness to obtain one).
