Do you want to make a difference in the future of the world? We are looking for a Full-Time Elementary Teacher to join our staff in the fall for a 9.7 month contract (year-round available also). The Montessori Elementary teacher teaches to the students" strengths while challenging their weaknesses. In Montessori, the Elementary classroom encompasses grades 1 - 6, so the teacher needs to be a generalist. He/she must individualize instruction per child, comprehending each child"s developmental plane. As the guide, you may have to teach yourself how to use specific Montessori materials to better convey individual lessons to the children. The teacher will tend to the emotional, social, cognitive, and spiritual needs of each child in the classroom, all the while creating a welcoming, homey and inviting classroom space.
You will be working in our Elementary classroom with children ages 6 to 11 years with approximately 10 children. Your work hours will be 8 am to 3 pm, but could change depending on needs of the school. Additional or fewer work hours are negotiable.
