Work, Live & Play in Central Washington State Lineman Grant County Public Utility District has immediate openings for experienced Linemen. Why be a Lineman at Grant PUD? Youll have the current opportunity to work a 4-10s schedule (Monday-Thursday) year-round! Youll receive an hourly wage that recognizes your technical expertise: $48.55 in 2020/$50.89 in 2021/$53.33 in 2021. You will also receive $0.85 per hour in extra compensation and the opportunity for call-out overtime! Youll be able to explore the beautiful 2,700+ square miles of Grant County as you go to worksites, giving you ideas for things to do on your long weekends! Applicants must have all the following to be considered: journeyman lineman card/status recognized by the IBEW and utility, Washington CDL with endorsements, and hot stick experience. Grant PUD Grant PUD was built by a community of forward thinkers. Residents formed the PUD to bring electricity to the county in the 1930s. In the 1950s, they encouraged construction of two dams on the Columbia River to provider renewable, low-cost power for themselves and future generations. The utility serves more than 40,000 customers, with the capacity to produce more than 2,000 megawatts of clean, renewable electricity. With two dams on the Columbia River, approximately 4,000 miles of transmission and distribution line, 20 shoreline-area recreation sites, multiple service and office locations, and strong cultures of safety and community engagement, we are Grant Countys premier employer.
