In the 1950s, they encouraged construction of two dams on the Columbia River to provider renewable, low-cost power for themselves and future generations. The utility serves more than 40,000 customers, with the capacity to produce more than 2,000 megawatts of clean, renewable electricity. With two dams on the Columbia River, approximately 4,000 miles of transmission and distribution line, 20 shoreline-area recreation sites, multiple service and office locations, and strong cultures of safety and community engagement, we are Grant Countys premier employer.
