Fantasy Lake Adventure Park in Wake Forest, NC is looking for one lifeguard to join our team. We are located on 3601 Quarry Road. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, motivated, and engaged.
Qualifications:
- Must be 15 years of age
- Must have or be willing to obtain a valid American Red Cross Lifeguard/ CPR/ First Aid/ AED Certification before working
- Must be able to successfully pass the training program and exams
Responsibilities:
- Remain alert at all times, on the lookout, and ready to assist patrons in trouble in the water or in the park.
- Enforce all facility rules consistently and in a courteous manner
- Prevent injuries or emergencies before they arise to the best of your capability
- Maintain a professional manner at all times
- Show up on time for each shift and be prepared with the necessary equipment
- Greet and check in members and guests
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patron needs in a polite, respectful, and friendly manner
- Maintain a clean facility (water, park area, restrooms, furniture, etc.) as well as facility-specific needs
- Complete necessary daily checklists
- Attend all required staff meetings and in-services
- Complete appropriate documentation of incidents and/or reports

Job Description:
- Lifeguarding is a great summer opportunity and one of the best summer jobs you will find. Fantasy Lake Adventure Park lifeguards will be trained extensively and given all the skills they need for success. We are looking for individuals who want to gain skills and professional experience that they can use for years to come. We hire for part-time seasonal and full-time seasonal positions. A lifeguard is the first responder at the facility and this is a position that is taken very seriously. Fantasy Lake Adventure Park lifeguards are therefore expected to be confident in their life-saving abilities for any situation. Additionally, lifeguards must maintain a clean facility as well as communicate with patrons in a professional and friendly way.
Specific Duties:
- Each shift is divided into the morning, middle, or afternoon portion of the day
- Each team member is required to help out by organizing furniture, cleaning bathrooms, wiping tables, closing/ opening umbrellas, placing items back correctly, and more when necessary.
- Scanning the water every 8-10 seconds
- Enforcing water-specific and general rules
- Talk with patrons in a professional but welcoming way to ensure that their question, comment, or inquiry is communicated to the best of your ability.
- Sweeping & mopping restrooms
- Arranging furniture
- Use a clear and loud voice
