Overview We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating various machining tools and equipment, with a focus on precision and quality. As a Machinist, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process, ensuring that components meet specifications and are produced efficiently.

Duties

Set up and operate milling machines, lathes, and other machining tools to produce parts according to engineering specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models to understand project requirements.
Utilize CAM programming for automated machining processes.
Perform quality checks using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to ensure accuracy of finished products.
Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
Collaborate with engineers and other team members to improve production processes and resolve any issues that arise during machining.
Use hand tools effectively for assembly and adjustments of parts as necessary.
Operate forklifts safely to transport materials within the facility.

Experience

Proven experience as a Machinist or in a similar role within manufacturing is preferred.
Proficiency in CAM programming and CAD software such as SolidWorks is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of basic math principles related to measurements and calculations in machining.
Familiarity with various hand tools and their applications in machining tasks.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Forklift certification is a plus but can be obtained after hire if necessary.
