Overview We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating various machining tools and equipment, with a focus on precision and quality. As a Machinist, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process, ensuring that components meet specifications and are produced efficiently.

Duties

  • Set up and operate milling machines, lathes, and other machining tools to produce parts according to engineering specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models to understand project requirements.
  • Utilize CAM programming for automated machining processes.
  • Perform quality checks using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to ensure accuracy of finished products.
  • Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to improve production processes and resolve any issues that arise during machining.
  • Use hand tools effectively for assembly and adjustments of parts as necessary.
  • Operate forklifts safely to transport materials within the facility.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Machinist or in a similar role within manufacturing is preferred.
  • Proficiency in CAM programming and CAD software such as SolidWorks is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of basic math principles related to measurements and calculations in machining.
  • Familiarity with various hand tools and their applications in machining tasks.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Forklift certification is a plus but can be obtained after hire if necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 – $19.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift

Supplemental Pay:

  • Overtime pay

Experience:

  • Machining: 3 years (Preferred)
