PURPOSE
The janitor is responsible for the care and cleaning of one or more facilities operated by CAS, Inc. Perform all cleaning tasks that are necessary to maintain the sanitary operation of CAS run facilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Performs all cleaning tasks that are necessary to maintain the sanitary operation of CAS run facilities. This includes but is not limited to: sweeping, dusting, moping and waxing floors, cleaning bathroom, washing walls and windows, washing kitchen and dining room equipment, cleaning grease traps, exhaust hoods systems, etc.
- May be responsible for inventorying and ordering cleaning products or equipment
- May be required to move CAS equipment such as but not limited to: tables and chairs, and other dining equipment
- Must have a thorough knowledge of the NYS health code
- Is responsible for securing the facility they are assigned to at the end of their shift each night
- May be required to assist in production
- Other duties may be assigned to reach individual and organizational goals.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum – High School Diploma/GED and/or equivalent experience
- One year experience as a Janitor or Day Cleaner, floor care is desirable but not required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to stand/sit/move for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally
SCOPE AND DIRECTION
- Reports to: Facilities Management
- Direct Reports: None
- FSLA Status: Hourly
- Rate of pay $16.55 per hour
