PROCUREMENT PROJECT MANAGER Location United States : Purpose: The Procurement Project Manager (PM) is responsible for day-to-day project management of the Procurement team's $2B inventory across 60 distribution centers and execution of multiple projects through the project lifecycle. The PM is responsible to define and deliver within the agreed budget, scope and timelines and manages issues and risks through the project lifecycle. The PM is responsible for articulating project status and managing expectations. The PM will work collaboratively with cross-functional business areas to achieve agreed project objectives, milestones and deliverables and ensure implemented solutions are of quality. This role should seek to contribute to improvements for the Procurement Project Program Management Discipline. Job Responsibilities:
- Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
- Gains approval from leadership when a project will entail a business investment of $500K or more.
- Execute buying feasibility analysis based on negotiated brackets during onboarding and offboarding business.
- Develop clear milestones to measure against, prioritizing time and work as appropriate.
- Presents project plan, deliverables, timelines, and potential concerns to entire cross-functional project team.
- Manage delivery with a sense of urgency while holding teams accountable for delivering work against project plan.
- Minimizes exposure and risk on project and ensures appropriate action is taken.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders accountable for work against estimates- both in time and duration.
- Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
- Create DC-to-DC inventory transfers where a project requires.
- Effectively applies project methodology and enforces project standards while streamlining process for speed of delivery.
- Manages, resolves, and escalates to leaders, as appropriate, issues to ensure high quality deliverables.
- Provide project recommendations to Procurement leadership.
- Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
- Performs other relevant job duties as required.
Job Requirements: Education/ Certifications: (Required/Preferred-list requirement is required or preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in a related field required
- PMP certification preferred
- Six Sigma certification preferred
Experience:
- 3-5 years of supply chain or procurement experience required
- Project management experience preferred
