The Pentaho Developer will develop the PowerBI offering across the team. To ensure data projects are delivered in a structurally concise manner to end users, using the correct deployment methods to test/update/publish data.

3 days per week onsite in Canary Wharf.

A background in Pentaho for data integration and analytics is essential.

To be considered you will be able to demonstrate deep data management expertise with excellent SQL design and engineering skills, Strong BI development experience, including data manipulation, analysis, and visualisation skills.

Strong cloud data warehousing (AWS, GCP, Azure) and BI toolset (Tableau, Looker, Power BI) experience combined with a good understanding of relational and NoSQL database.

Responsibilities:

• Develop Business Objects reports and dashboard solutions for a wide variety of business intelligence projects and write functional and technical specs
• Manage the incident tickets/ JIRA tickets to fix issues with existing reports.
• Solid technical background and experience in reporting, Business Intelligence, MIS applications
• Understand and implement solution in support of physical data models necessary to support business intelligence reporting initiatives
• Design, develop, test, and support Oracle stored procedures, functions
• Define and design the universe, BI Dashboards, and reports
• Develop, Support, and improve existing BO systems - including both Universe and Reports
• Responsible for documenting modifications of pre-existing development new development for peer reference and knowledge transfer
• Strong emphasis on delivering an excellent customer experience, while working under pressure with urgency, with an ability to communicate professionally to all levels of the business.
• Communicate directly with team members to confirm requirements and clarify business rules
• You will have experience in the financial services industry.
• You can work effectively under pressure as well as take on new challenges and develop new skills.
• You will have an excellent understanding of supporting and communicating with clients at all levels.
• You will have experience of working with Change Management tools such as ServiceNow
• You will have experience in Microsoft applications such as Excel, Visio, SharePoint, and MS Project.
• You will be diligent in your administration and reporting approach with very strong stakeholder communication skills.
• You will be rigorous in your scope management and the ability to manage customer expectations, control change, and negotiate compromise.
• Strong task and resource planning in a volatile matrix management environment.
• You will be disciplined in your prioritisation, time management and scheduling abilities - multi-tasking skills are essential.

Pentaho skills:

• Extensive Experience in ETL Tool - Pentaho
• Expert in creating Data Flows
• Modification of existing complex data flows leading to optimization
• Hands on experience of formulating, executing, and debugging SQL Queries
• Knowledge of reading Data for APIs
• Experience in creating Data Models

Additional Desirable skills: Knowledge of Data sources, Transform Maps to push data to ServiceNow.
