Applications are sought for a committed Post-doctoral Research Fellow to work with Professor Jonathan Fraser conducting research for an EPSRC funded project entitled A new theory of dimension interpolation. The primary duties will be to work on research problems related to the project and under the guidance of the PI, publish research papers, and more generally contribute to the research activities of the Research Group and School., Further details of the project can be found by contacting Professor Jonathan Fraser ( ) and informal inquiries can be made to either Prof Jonathan Fraser or Dr Natalia Jurga ( ). The successful applicant will have (or be near to completion of) a PhD in Mathematics with expertise in at least one of Fractal Geometry, Geometric Measure Theory, Ergodic Theory and Dynamical Systems, Harmonic Analysis, or Additive Combinatorics. You will be a member of the successful Analysis Research Group ( ). The post is available for 36 months starting 1st August 2025, or as soon as possible thereafter.
