Financial firms rely on dozens of critical systems to develop and execute strategies, evaluate risk, track P&L, lead sales and trading, and handle settlement. The constant challenge is the complexity of integrating these systems so that data moves correctly across the enterprise, at higher speeds and lower costs. Building solutions in-house can take a large team and a larger investment. Integrators and consultants may not understand a firm’s business model or data. That’s where we come in.

What’s the role?

As an Integration Architect in Enterprise Technology Solutions supporting our growing business, you will be responsible for technical integration between our clients and Bloomberg's premier applications. Integrations often involve crafting and deploying solutions for clients utilizing XML/FIX messaging and APIs between their systems and the Bloomberg Cloud.

Typical engagements can include the use of real-time XML and FIX messaging, data transformations; batch-based processes, FpML, SWIFT messaging, and other protocols as well as MQ, FIX, TCP/IP, FTP, WebAPI, WebSocket, and ODBC connectivity between the client on-premise and Cloud and the Bloomberg Cloud. In addition to data connectivity and transformations, our products also allow clients to code up to our API programmatically in either a server or desktop architecture.

We’ll trust you to:

1. Design, configure, and deploy the integration of trading interfaces between Bloomberg and clients.
2. Manage your time effectively and to multi-task in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
3. Be responsible for the successful completion of integration projects.

You'll need to have:

1. 10+ years of experience in a technical role, covering technologies in financial institutions or financial vendors.
2. Capital Markets knowledge with understanding of buy & sell-side order management workflows.
3. Strong experience working with MQ, SFTP, Web API, SWIFT, FIX, and Cloud.
4. Experience in ETL workflows/data transformations using XML/XSLT.
5. Experience in Data Modelling for Cloud data warehouse.
6. Ability to engage with external clients and manage expectations.
7. Proven ability to independently manage integration projects.

We'd love to see:

1. A technology background, with programming/scripting experience, e.g. Python.
2. Experience in data modelling and database/table setup in Snowflake.
3. Experience of data analytics, e.g. PowerBI, Tableau.
4. Skills of using WebAPI tools, e.g. Postman.
5. AWS and Azure foundational certified.
