Experience and Skills
• Technical Experience: Workday Accounting experience or training preferred; Accounting Finance experience preferred • Demonstrated strength with advanced Excel formulas and macros • Understanding of Accounting operations and experience in Accounting data management and reporting • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with Accounting and IT clients • Ability to accurately collect information in order to understand and assess the clients' needs and situation • Strong attention to detail • Ability to prioritize workload and provide timely follow-up and resolution • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects
Role Specific Responsibilities
• Workday Financials Support: Act as the primary point of contact for Workday Financials modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Expenses. • System Configuration: Configure and maintain Workday Financials modules, ensuring alignment with business requirements and industry best practices. • Business Process Optimization: Analyze and improve existing financial processes, identifying areas for automation and efficiency gains. • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with Accounting and accounting teams to gather and document business requirements, translating them into system configurations and enhancements. • Testing and Validation: Conduct testing for system updates, enhancements, and new features, ensuring that changes meet business requirements and do not disrupt existing processes. • Training and Documentation: Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users to ensure effective adoption of Workday Financials. • Troubleshooting and Support: Provide ongoing support for Workday Financials, resolving issues, and providing guidance to users. • Reporting and Analytics: Design and maintain financial reports and dashboards within Workday to provide insights and support decision-making. • Compliance and Security: Ensure that financial processes within Workday comply with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
