Introduction:
As a Welder at Central Moloney, you execute various fabrication duties, which is crucial in producing pole transformers. Your expertise in metalwork and welding contributes to the construction of high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble pieces of metal or repair damage in metal components.
- Execute various fabrication and welding tasks to meet production needs.
- Read and follow blueprints to ensure precise execution of welding and fabrication requirements.
- Cut metal into the appropriate shape and size according to specifications.
- Smooth molten metal to remove creases, ensuring the final product meets quality standards.
- Weld with various types of metal, including steel and aluminum.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a secure working environment.
- Produce and maintain accurate records of welding and fabrication activities.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned, showcasing versatility and commitment to excellence.
Requirements
Additional Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to read and interpret specifications.
- Ability to read and understand job-related materials and perform basic math.
- Minimum 2 years previous welding experience (MIG)
- Follow written instructions and supervisor directions accurately.
- Comfortable with physically demanding tasks and working conditions.
- Background check, Drug & Physical Screening required.
Physical and Environmental Requirements
- Lifting: Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
- Environment: Work in a facility with loud noise, extreme temperatures, and environmental stressors.
- Physical Activities: Sit, stand, walk, bend, climb, crouch, reach, and grasp as needed.
- PPE: Wear required PPE, including eye and hearing protection, gloves, and safety toe footwear.
- Dexterity and Vision: Manual dexterity and specific vision abilities (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment).
- Stamina: Stand for long shifts.
- Skills: Effective communication, basic math skills, and teamwork.
- Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and address hazards.
