Material Coordinator

Key Responsibilities: 

• Safely and efficiently handle materials and products in a manufacturing facility or distribution center. 

• Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers. 

• Ensure proper placement and securing of items to prevent damage during transport. 

• Perform inventory control activities, including counting, sorting, and organizing materials. 

• Follow all safety protocols and OSHA guidelines to maintain a safe work environment. 

• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines. 

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned area. 

• Conduct regular equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs. 

Experience & Preferred Qualifications: 

• Previous experience in shipping/receiving or materials handling preferred. 

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory control. 

• Proficient in operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers. 

• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks. 

• Familiarity with manufacturing operations and order-picking processes. 

• Forklift certification is a plus. 

Requirements

Requirements: 

• High school diploma or GED. 

• Minimum of 1-2 years in similar position or manufacturing environment. 

• Familiarity with tape measures and imperial measurement. 

• Meet the physical requirements of the position.

• Background check, drug screening, and physical exam required. 

Physical and Environmental Requirements: 

• Lifting: Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted. 

• Environment: Work in a facility with loud noise, extreme temperatures, and environmental stressors. 

• Physical Activities: Sit, stand, walk, bend, climb, crouch, reach, and grasp as needed. 

• PPE: Wear required PPE, including eye and hearing protection, gloves, and safety toe footwear. 

• Stamina: Stand for long shifts. 

• Skills: Effective communication, basic math skills, and teamwork. 

• Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and address hazards.
