Civil Engineer

Position Overview:

As our Civil Engineer, you will oversee a variety of exciting projects, ensuring compliance with professional standards, codes, and specifications. You'll use your expertise to guide your team and collaborate with clients, all while enjoying the satisfaction of seeing your designs come to life.

What You'll Do:

• Design Excellence: Lead the civil engineering process for our clients, utilizing your knowledge of site design, planning, stormwater management, construction, and zoning regulations.
• Client Relationships: Cultivate strong relationships with new and existing clients, contributing to business growth through master planning and site development.
• Project Leadership: Prepare comprehensive proposals, project schedules, and client correspondence while creating design sketches, layouts, and construction documents using Civil 3D and AutoCAD software.
• Expert Guidance: Assist clients with selecting professional services, preparing municipal applications, and navigating the permit and approval processes.
• Team Management: Supervise and mentor junior staff and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with design intent and quality standards.
• Site Supervision: Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, troubleshoot issues, and maintain alignment with project goals.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay at the forefront of the industry by participating in relevant seminars and training to maintain your engineering license and enhance your skills.

What We're Looking For:

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
• Licensure: Licensed Civil Engineer.
• Experience: A minimum of 8 years of relevant civil engineering experience.
• Technical Proficiency: Mastery of engineering principles, site planning, zoning, grading, drainage, utilities, and compliance with MIOSHA/OSHA guidelines.
• Software Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, with a keen eye for detail in design documentation.
