Job Title: Grounds Maintenance

About Pali Mountain:

• Type of Facility: Summer camp, outdoor education facility, and retreat center.
• Operation: Open 365 days a year, including during inclement weather.

Key Responsibilities:

• General Grounds Maintenance:
  • Trash, leaves, and debris removal.
  • Sweeping, snow removal, shoveling, raking leaves.
  • Maintain cleanliness of parking areas, seating areas, patios, and other grounds.
• Specific Duties:
  • Raking, weed blowing, snow removal, trash and debris removal.
  • Assisting landscapers with mowing, edging, weeding, and maintaining lawns, fields, flowerbeds, trees, and shrubs.
  • Using hand tools and employer-supplied vehicles for various tasks.
  • Cleaning and power washing around trash receptacles.
  • Daily trash pick-up and cleaning tasks.
  • Cleaning road curbs and gutters, weed whacking roadsides, and making management aware of needed repairs.

Requirements:

• Experience: Previous experience in grounds maintenance is required.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 lbs, walk up three flights of stairs, work outdoors in all weather conditions, and use various hand tools.
• Transportation: Reliable transportation is necessary as Pali operates year-round.
• Skills:
  • Self-motivated and solution-oriented.
  • Strong work ethic and team-oriented.
  • Customer-focused with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Organizational and time-management skills.

Qualifications:

• Age: Must be 18 years or older.
• Safety: Must comply with all safety rules and regulations.

Salary and Benefits:

• Hourly Rate: $18-$21/hr.
