Home Care Aide

**Job Summary:** Destiny Healthcare Services is seeking a dependable and compassionate Home Care Aide to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. In this capacity, the Home Care Aide will provide essential personal care services and companionship to clients within their residences. This is a full-time position, classified as an individual contributor role, offering a competitive hourly wage of $17.50. The responsibilities of this position are crucial in assisting clients to maintain their independence and enhance their quality of life. **Responsibilities:**

• Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Prepare and serve meals tailored to clients’ specific dietary needs.
• Provide reminders for medication and assist with medication administration as directed by a healthcare professional.
• Perform light housekeeping duties, such as laundry and changing bed linens.
• Accompany clients on errands and to appointments as necessary.
• Engage clients in conversation and provide companionship.
• Report any changes in a client's condition to the appropriate healthcare professional.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of client care activities.

**Requirements:**

• A high school diploma or an equivalent qualification is required.
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are necessary.
• Previous experience as a Home Care Aide or in a comparable role is preferred, although not mandatory.
• CPR and First Aid certification are advantageous.
• Candidates must undergo a criminal background check and drug screening.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• The ability to work independently with minimal supervision is essential.
• A sincere desire to help others and a compassionate demeanor are mandatory.
