Parts Advisor

Parts Counter Sales G&S Auto Parts in Columbia City is expanding and looking for an experienced parts counter sales person. This is a salary plus commission position. The Wholesale Parts Advisor sells parts to all available customers over the phone. At G&S Auto Parts, we believe that employees are the key to our continued success. Work Hours: Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; No Saturdays. Job Responsibilities:

• Answer phone calls providing price quotes, answering questions and providing solutions for our wholesale customers
• Provide outstanding customer care and interactions with everyone who comes into our store and on the phone
• Bring customer focus and high energy to our fast-paced stores
• Use technology computer, cash register, telephone, and paper catalog system
• Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery or pick-up.
• Solicit assigned accounts by phone
• Notify the customer that ordered parts have been received
• Issue credit for parts returned, ensuring that the original invoice, or its number, is available so that the purchase and pricing can be verified
• Keep current on new products and product updates.
• Participate in all training programs that are made available.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in an automotive parts department is preferred.
• High school diploma or the equivalent.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Professional personal appearance.
• Ability to work well with the public, sometimes with several customers at a time.
