About the Role: Product Manager - Manufacturing Industry
The Product Manager plays a critical role in driving the development and success of products that meet market demands and align with business objectives. This dynamic position serves as the central link between various departments—marketing, sales, engineering, and more—ensuring seamless collaboration and outstanding product outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
As a Product Manager, you'll oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch. Your primary duties include:
Defining the product vision and strategy to align with company goals. Gathering and prioritizing customer and client requirements to deliver user-centric solutions. Partnering with engineering teams to ensure timely delivery of functional products. Monitoring market trends and staying informed about the competitive landscape to refine product direction. Gaining buy-in for the product vision from internal and external stakeholders. Setting and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and adapt strategies as needed. Collaborating with marketing and sales teams to ensure effective product launches and promotions.
Day-to-Day Activities
Your daily tasks may include:
Leading roadmap discussions and release planning. Conducting user research to understand customer needs and pain points. Working closely with design and development teams to ensure quality execution of product specifications. Managing cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are achieved within budget and on time. Preparing and delivering progress updates and reports to key stakeholders.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (a Master's degree is a plus). Certifications like Certified Product Manager (CPM) or Agile Certified Product Manager and Product Owner (ACPMPO) are highly valued. Proficiency in product management tools and Agile methodologies. Strong analytical skills and an understanding of market trends and user experience design. Proven experience in product management, preferably within the manufacturing industry or similar sectors.
