COMPETENCIES The Quality Manager assists the organization in the development, improvement, and implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS). This position is responsible for quality activities to support achieving company targets. The Quality Manager makes recommendations to management regarding improvement activities. This position includes tracking, investigating and correcting Quality incidents.
The Quality Manager supports multiple sites and coordinates projects among the other quality members in the region.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Champion initiatives that identify risk and drive closure of recommendations to reduce identified risks.
- Provide leadership and direct support to quality activities for storage conditions, product handling, kitting, labeling and distribution operations.
- Responsible for the design and maintenance of quality programs, including but not limited to QA plans, inspection procedures, work instructions, training, deviation investigations, facility mapping and validation projects
- Manage and analyze data from customers and internal sources as input for problem solving and communicate/report to appropriate personnel
- Develop and design irreversible corrective actions for known problems
- Use established problem solving techniques to reduce process variation
- Manage quality processes and reports
- Champion Lean engineering goals
- Includes being an aid in developing, implementing and maintaining a Lean culture within the organization using a hands-on approach in order to provide input on processes from a quality perspective
- Responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of the Quality System
- Reports to Management on effectiveness of the Quality System
- Generate, interpret, analyze, and communicate results using management tools, graphs, and reports; actively coach the organization concerning quality with tools and reports
- Exercise supervisory authority over employees in the Quality group.
- Act as a role model for all associates and adhere to the company core values

PREFERRED CREDENTIALS
- 5 years of progressive experience performing professional level quality management duties; preferably in automotive or logistics industry.
- 5 years of experience in a warehouse management environment
- Knowledge of ISO standards, audits and inspection techniques, and experience with ISO 9001
- Ability to develop work instructions, procedures, and visual aids to support operation
- Proficient in the use of computers and several Windows based applications
- Must be detail oriented and consistently meets commitments. Possesses good organizational and planning skills, can multi-task and prioritize effectively.
- Ability to document and execute against short and long term plans to achieve objectives.
- High level of comfort developing and delivering presentations to all levels of associates
EDUCATION
- High School diploma or GED
- Bachelor's Degree - Preferred
