Job Title:Scientist III Location: Cambridge, MA 02139 Duration: 06 Months-Contract Client-Pharma Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Scientist III to join Immunology and Inflammation Therapeutic Area located in Cambridge, MA. Focusing on Rilzabrutinib, an oral BTK inhibitor under investigation for the treatment of several immune-mediated diseases, your position will contribute to research efforts towards enhancing our understanding and competitiveness of this exciting therapy.
The successful candidate will be responsible for generating supporting preclinical research data for Rilzabrutinib. The candidate will be responsible for the execution of preclinical research work, utilizing in vitro and in vivo immunological skills, to strengthen our mechanistic biological understanding of Rilzabrutinib. The position requires an ability to work effectively both independently and in a collaborative team environment, as well as excellent technical/written/oral communication skills. The ideal candidate will be curious in exploring new paths for scientific discoveries and bold in proposing creative experimental designs and ideas. The candidate is also expected to have a proven publication record revealing scientific excellence.
We are seeking candidates with a strong working knowledge and demonstrated scientific success in immunology, with a focus on autoimmunity. The ideal candidate possesses strong laboratory experience and technical expertise in cellular immunology (including ELISA, assay development, tissue culture, flow cytometry, primary immune cell assays, and ex vivo analysis) and in vivo preclinical models of autoimmunity. Direct research and drug discovery experience in autoimmune diseases is a plus.
Responsibilities: Work within the Rilzabrutinib project team to design, execute, analyze and document in vivo and in vitro experiments to drive data package generation Serve as an integral team member of the Rilzabrutinib project team and communicate data updates and recommendations Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding code of laboratory conduct, safety, and appropriate handling of materials.
Education: PhD in Immunology or related biological science plus minimum of 3 years of relevant post-doctoral research experience in an academic or biopharmaceutical setting Employment Type: Contractor
