Responsibilities: Although you will have the opportunity to specialize in a particular area, these roles will work as a team to cover every aspect of IT security. Some examples of the day-to-day responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Conducting security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and address weaknesses in our systems
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Monitoring security systems for suspicious activity and investigate potential security incidents
- Responding to security incidents effectively, minimizing damage and restoring normal operations
- Staying up to date on the latest security threats and trends, recommending and implementing appropriate security solutions
- Developing and maintaining security documentation, including policies and procedures
- Influencing employee security awareness training and education programs to help foster a security first culture
- Becoming a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders and ensure security is built into every aspect of the organization
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in information security or a related field
- Strong understanding of security principles, including network, application, and data
- Experience with mainstream security tools and technologies (e.g., vulnerability scanners, firewalls, SIEM systems, endpoint protection, etc)
- Understanding of Zero Trust principals and related solutions
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with cloud environments, such as Azure, AWS, and GCP
