Make a difference as a Site Scheduler

As a Site Scheduler at VAL-CO Industries in New Holland, you will play an essential role in preparing and distributing shop order documents and coordinating critical production planning activities. You'll assist the Production Control Manager and Production Control Coordinator in developing the local production plan while overseeing the timely execution of production activities. By preparing and distributing shop order packets and labels, you will ensure the smooth implementation of the production schedule. Working closely with production personnel, you'll actively communicate to address capacity constraints and potential challenges, driving Continuous Improvement initiatives for enhanced efficiency.

Additionally, you'll maintain inventory integrity and coordinate with remote warehousing operations to meet customer needs. This position offers you the unique opportunity to implement and maintain MTO and PTO systems, and serve as a primary on-site driver for tactical changes, all while embodying our guiding principals of integrity, respect, and creativity.

What we're looking for in a Site Scheduler

To excel as a Site Scheduler at VAL-CO Industries, you must possess a blend of technical skills and personal attributes. A High School diploma, Associate's degree, or a minimum of two years of relevant work experience is preferred. Proficiency in ERP planning tools and strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, are essential for effective production planning.

You should have a solid understanding of Kanban pull systems, MTO, and PTO principles. Your strong analytical capabilities and problem resolution skills will enable you to tackle challenges efficiently, while excellent written and oral communication skills will facilitate collaboration within a team environment. Being well-organized and detail-oriented will assist you in managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting. You should be able to work a schedule of 6:30am-3:00pm.

Additionally, you must demonstrate safe working habits and a willingness to lead group meetings or huddles as necessary to foster teamwork and continuous improvement initiatives.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

High School diploma, Associates degree, or minimum of two years work related experience preferred.
Understanding and effective use of ERP planning tools.
Proficient computer skills including use of Microsoft Excel Word and Outlook.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Good fundamental math skills.
Excellent written and oral communications skills.
Ability to lead group meetings/ huddles as needed.
Understanding of Kanban pull, MTO, and PTO.
Strong analytical and problem resolution skills with ability to multi-task.
