Your day as a Payroll Coordinator

At The Arc Chemung-Schuyler, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Payroll Coordinator to join our Finance team, supporting our mission to empower people with varying abilities. In this pivotal role, you'll be responsible for ensuring accurate payroll processing and fostering a collaborative environment with our HR team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of payroll procedures and familiarity with Dayforce payroll software, allowing you to navigate efficiently within our systems. To thrive as a Payroll Coordinator at The Arc of Chemung-Schuyler, candidates must possess proven experience in payroll administration, ideally within a not-for-profit environment. A strong knowledge of payroll processes, tax withholdings, and deductions is essential to ensure compliance and accuracy. Excellent attention to detail and robust organizational skills are critical for managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in our fast-paced setting. Strong communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, particularly with Finance and HR. Familiarity with applicable labor laws and regulations is considered a plus, adding value to your contributions.

While a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred, a passion for our mission and dedication to excellence are the most important qualities we seek. Experience with Dayforce payroll software is highly regarded, enhancing your effectiveness in this role.
