GENERAL OVERVIEW:

The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Corporate Payroll Administrator ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees, managing garnishments, maintaining payroll documentation, and providing support to internal teams and communities. This role involves a high level of attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supports the Mission, Values and Vision of Virginia Baptist Homes.
  • Biweekly Payroll processing
  • Garnishment processing
  • Process documentation
  • General Duties
  • Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • Ability to maintain and strengthen good working relationships within companies and staff. Positive, can-do attitude required.
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and adapt to change.
  • 1-2 years experience in Payroll processing for multiple entity corporation is preferred. Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) a plus.
  • Kronos/UKG experience is a plus
  • Competency with Microsoft Office products, including intermediate level Excel knowledge (vlookups, pivot tables).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • The employee must occasionally push/pull or lift and move up to 25 pounds and
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other standard office equipment.
