Job Description:

The Senior Systems Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining our IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability of systems and services. This role requires a deep understanding of system administration, network management, and cybersecurity best practices. Additionally, the Senior Systems Administrator will support operational technology (OT) and create isolated networks for our production environment.

This position will require a combination of onsite work, remote work, and travel to our production facilities. The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain servers, networks, and related infrastructure.
• Monitor system performance and ensure reliability and availability.
• Implement and manage security measures to protect data and systems.
• Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.
• Collaborate with IT team members to design and implement new solutions.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and policies.
• Provide technical support and guidance to end-users.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Support and manage operational technology (OT) systems.
• Design and implement isolated networks for production environments to enhance security and performance.
• Coordinate with production teams to ensure seamless integration of IT and OT systems.
• Travel to production facilities as needed to support and maintain systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in system administration or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
• Proficiency in network management and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
• Experience with operational technology (OT) systems and protocols.
• Proven experience in creating and managing isolated networks for production environments.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator) are a plus.
• Willingness to travel to production facilities as required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
