Systems Engineer

JHNA is seeking a talented engineer to support our Army Assistant Program Executive Office (APEO) Engineering & Architecture (E&A), PEO Aviation (AVN) customer at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL. This role has a hybrid work schedule which requires on-site support as needed.

In this role, you will support, and be mentored by, subject matter experts (SME) with engineering efforts and initiatives to assist with and promote enterprise and system architecture development, digital engineering (DE) practices, artificial intelligence (AI), and modular open system approaches (MOSA).

Roles/Responsibilities:

• Assist or represent architecture and software SMEs supporting:
  • Enterprise architecture (EA) development using model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and agile practices
  • Systems engineering (SE) and software engineering (SW) best practices
  • DE methods and tool maturation
  • MOSA
    • Enabling standards
    • Conformance verification & validation approaches
    • Demonstration & experimentation
  • AI exploration
• Provide product architecture development support to PEO AVN Program Offices (PO).
• Participate in PEO Aviation SE, MBSE and DE working groups.

Required Qualifications:

• Candidate must be a U.S Citizen with an active DoD Clearance
• Candidate must possess a bachelor's degree in a STEM field/focus from an accredited college/university
• At least 5 years of hands-on engineering experience

Desired Qualifications:

• Engineering experience with DoD mission, aircraft, or weapon systems
• MBSE experience
• Experience using Cameo Enterprise Architect
• Systems engineering and software or computer engineering experience
• Experience with any of the following standards:
  • Unified Modeling Language (UML)
  • Systems Modeling Language (SysML)
  • Unified Architecture Framework (UAF)
  • Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF)
  • Future Vertical Lift (FVL) Architecture Framework (FAF)
  • Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE) Technical Standard
  • Technical Standard for Sensor Open Systems Architecture (SOSA)
  • C5ISR/EW Modular Open Suite of Standards (CMOSS)
  • CMOSS Mounted Form Factor (CMFF)
