Vice President of Marketing

Our client is seeking a Vice President of Marketing that will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and revenue growth. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in marketing leadership, particularly within the government sector. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Department of Defense and Federal agencies, and the ability to create innovative marketing campaigns that align with our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities: ‍ Developing Marketing Strategies: ‍- Create and implement aggressive marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and drive customer acquisition. - Develop comprehensive marketing plans that align with the company's strategic goals and market opportunities.

Managing the Marketing Team and Vendors: ‍- Select, lead and manage the marketing agency, - Lead and manage marketing team, including performance management to ensure peak productivity and brand alignment. - Foster a high-performance marketing culture through effective leadership and motivation. ‍ Building Relationships: ‍-  Maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders to enhance collaboration and drive marketing initiatives. - Develop and nurture long-term relationships with vendors, resellers and other sales partners to leverage strategic collaboration and brand affinity.

Analyzing Market Trends: ‍-  Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify new marketing opportunities and inform strategic decisions. - Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.

Collaborating with Other Departments: ‍- Work closely with sales and product development to align marketing strategies with overall business objectives and customer needs. - Collaborate with finance to ensure marketing budgets are effectively managed and aligned with company goals.

Marketing Goals: ‍- Establish ambitious marketing goals and KPIs for the company, monitoring progress and adjusting strategies as needed to achieve targets. - Foster a results-oriented environment that encourages accountability and high achievement.

Creating Marketing Campaigns: ‍- Develop and implement innovative marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media, and traditional marketing. - Utilize data-driven insights to refine marketing strategies and improve campaign performance. ‍ Tracking Marketing Activities: ‍- Monitor marketing activities and track consumer behavior, leveraging analytics to inform decision-making and strategy adjustments. - Identify areas for improvement within the marketing process and create targeted programs to address them.

I dentifying Areas for Improvement: ‍- Implement best practices to enhance marketing efficiency and effectiveness, driving continuous improvement across the marketing organization.

Qualifications: ‍- Minimum of 7 years of marketing experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. - Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies, particularly targeting customers within the Department of Defense and Federal agencies - Strong understanding of government technology convenings, channels, and regulations for outreach. - Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams. - Ability to develop and execute strategic marketing plans that deliver results, including translating big ideas into tactical actions. - Proficiency in marketing analytics and data analysis, with a strong analytical mindset. - Experience with marketing automation tools, CRM software, design and video production. - Willingness to travel as needed to meet business objectives (10%).

Screening Criteria: ‍- Background Check: A thorough background check will be conducted, including verification of employment history, education credentials, and any criminal records. Any involvement in activities that may pose a risk to national security will also be checked. - U.S. Citizenship: The candidate must be a U.S. citizen due to DoD clearance requirements. - Reference Checks: Thorough reference checks will be conducted to gather insights into the candidate's professional conduct, reliability, and trustworthiness.
