An opportunity has arisen for an Administration Officer to join the admin team based in the Victoria Annexe, Rothesay, Isle of Bute to provide confidential, high quality administrative/secretarial support to the Local Manager for the Bute Area of the Argyll & Bite HSCP as well as other department across the Bute campus.
Main tasks include organisation of Local Manager’s diary and carrying out tasks as instructed, constantly prioritising the busy and ever-changing workload and being the main point of contact for the Local Manager from the public, staff, partner agencies, GP’s and the wider NHS.We are looking for self-motivated individuals who able to work as part of a team, therefore excellent communication, organisational and keyboard skills are required. You will have a calm and pleasant manner, be well organised and able to work on your own initiative as well as a good educational background with proven work experience in a similar role.
The ability to work well under pressure as well as a flexible approach to the needs of the department are essential. Induction, training, support and supervision will be provided.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
