Position Description

The Development Coordinator is a full-time position. We are searching for an organized and detailed oriented professional willing to grow. You must be a great communicator and love to work on multiple projects. Your ability to access and review donor data will help our amazing Development Team to achieve our organizational donor goals!  A passion working among diverse communities through fundraising will only help you succeed. You will individually have the responsibility to manage aspects of the CHRIS 180’s Donor Database, ensuring and maintaining the integrity of all donor and volunteer records.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Events:

  • Support the strategic vision, and execution of virtual and in-person events, including……CHRISTAL Ball, Advisory Council Meetings, and other types of fundraising and stewardship events.

Donor Database Management:

  • Manage the donor database, ensuring accuracy and integrity of records
  • Handle gift entry, acknowledgment letters, and donor reporting.
  • Serve as lead staff person for mail house, annual fund letters, mailing lists, post office, etc.
  • Provide fundraising reports and mailing lists as requested by Development staff and Director
  • Handle gift entry, acknowledgment letters, and donor reporting.
  • Provide administrative support for development team activities and events.
  • Track and report on key development metrics. (weekly, monthly, annually)
  • Work closely with finance team with monthly reconciliation
  • Help research donor information, relationships, personal information and contact information
  • Recommend segmentation and targeted codes based on donor similarities and information
  • Prospect research

Gift Processing and Recognition:

  • Conduct the processing of donations from Raiser’s Edge Net Community and other online giving portals with finance team
  • Support all gift tracking and ensure timely recognition of donor gifts
  • Develop new acknowledgement letters

Fundraising Support

  • Develop effective relationships with donors, resolve donor problems and questions, and present a positive and professional image of Resource Development as its first point of donor contact
  • Assist the Director of Development as needed and ensure s/he is made aware of all fundraising activity
  • Ensure agency compliance with National Council on Accreditation and other mandatory regulations/standards
  • Support ongoing Raiser’s Edge maintenance, ensuring accurate contact management, donor segmentation, and planning.

The primary duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Compile and run reports on segmented lists and information
  • Assist the Director of Development as needed and ensure s/he is made aware of all fundraising activity
  • Ensure agency compliance with National Council on Accreditation and other mandatory regulations/standards
  • Work on other duties, tasks and projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or commensurate experience required
  • Raiser’s Edge database preferred, not required
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Valid Georgia Driver’s License
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word
  • Effective oral and written communication

  • Ability to collaborate with other staff to ensure best practices and sound decisions
  • Ability to communicate using appropriate tones when corresponding verbally or written (as well as proper usage of grammar and spelling)
  • Ability to adapt and be open to new ideas on fundraising and engagement of donors.
  • Ability to manage workload by having a clear understanding of task/project and set realistic timelines and goals
  • Commitment to our vision and mission should be demonstrated in work

Salary: $50,000 - $60,000

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position and typically works Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm but requires flexibility.  There will be times that you will be required to attend after-hours and weekend events. You will have the option for hybrid work model.
