Expected salary range of $117,000 to $130,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

There are four (4) available positions to support the following locations:

*Quad Cities, Clinton, Byron

*Braidwood, Dresden, LaSalle

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

This position involves developing and managing a Constellation regional and local workforce development strategy that:

1.) Create, implement, and manage regional and local workforce development initiatives, partnerships, and programs that provide access for underrepresented and underserved individuals to join Constellation and energy industry careers.

2.) Build relationships between internal and external stakeholders, including community organizations, community colleges, schools, unions/trades, training programs, or aligned business partners. This includes interface, attendance at career fairs and recruitment events, and influence with community groups listed.

3.) Interface and create strategies in collaboration with leadership, HR Business Partners, Talent acquisition, business leaders, and other internal stakeholders to support community impact, workforce development, or early talent sourcing priorities. 

4.) Track key impact metrics and obtain feedback from stakeholders.

5.) Manage logistics and programmatic details related to budget/funding requests, program. participation/engagement, business/community needs, and regular reporting on progress.

This position requires significant relationship building within and outside of the organization and will serve as the project management lead for the day-to-day operations of regional and local workforce development programs and initiatives, to support both community investment and diversity, equity, and inclusion priorities. Position must be local to region and required to be on site at the local assigned Constellation clean energy centers, Power assets, and/or corporate offices or attending community engagement opportunities at least 3 days/week.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Develop, activate, and continuously improve a regional workforce development engagement strategy in partnership with philanthropy. This includes working with HR Business leads, TA, and Site Leaders or business unit leaders to understand long term and short-term workforce needs.
• Regional adoption and engagement with workforce development programs: Collaborate with Philanthropy Team Partnership to manage enterprise-wide initiatives such as $1.25 million Powering Change and Constellation Scholars regional partner(s), support regional adoption of existing Constellation programs including CEWD Energy Industry Fundamentals (EIF) Program and Chris Crane High School to Work Program(s). Build internal volunteer engagement and identify local champions for programs.

• Serve as day-to-day point-of-contact for region's workforce development program champions to support engagement, execution and tracking of program impact metrics. Lead and support programs and investments within region and/or business unit to ensure alignment with overall workforce development regional strategy and plans. This includes: Assessment and exploration of new partnerships and programs in regions:
  • Liaison to new workforce development programs.
  • Co-opetition coordinator (based on need) to build relationships, identify areas of opportunity, and additional resources needed.
  • Liaison to Clean Energy Brand Reputation Committee/Program.              
• In coordination with the Early Talent/DEI Talent Acquisition team, lead our local strategic talent sourcing efforts to build a pipeline for our intern and entry level positions from local underserved and underrepresented communities. This includes:
  • Demand planning partner (with TA).
  • Regional PowerEd project management for DEI related activities.
  • Bringing awareness on sites to engage volunteers.
  • Identify new sourcing partners for talent and upskilling/reskilling opportunities.

• Local Career Engagement
  • Build relationships and facilitate connections on campus at Community Colleges, regional associations and technical schools' efforts.
  • Support execution and management of local career events.
  • Build Student Talent Network.
  • Engagement and support of onsite interns related to DEI efforts, barrier reduction, and future pipeline conversion.

• Identify and strengthen alliances with community groups and external stakeholders to further critical initiatives in coordination with Government affairs and Labor. This includes serving on or engaging with local Workforce Development Boards, support of the Building Trades Diversity Pledge Regional Committee and internal lead(s) and understanding of EJ40 and disadvantaged communities surrounding our assets.
• Monitor and report all relevant data/tracking metrics, results and performance indicators.
• Attend key internal stakeholder meetings with business unit and site-specific leadership and report relevant strategy and efforts. Track and obtain feedback from stakeholder outreach.
• Collaborate with HR colleagues in support of integrated workforce planning talent and diversity, equity, and inclusion goals and priorities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in a business or related field with a minimum of 8 years related business experience; or 12 years of relative experience in lieu of a degree.
• Basic knowledge of corporate community pipeline and skill development strategies, models, and programs.
• Knowledge and experience with local, state and federal grant funding and board strategy.
• Relationship building experience with multiple stakeholders in complex settings. Familiarity with community issues and leaders in local area.
• Demonstrated commitment to community-business partnerships in support of achieving equity goals.
• Strong project management skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build consensus, establish trust, meet critical deadlines, communicate effectively, and accept accountability of multiple tasks.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Basic knowledge and understanding of the energy industry and current issues relevant to it.
• Advanced proficiency in standard software applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint), and relevant specialized business applications.
