Director, Development and Community Relations
JOB DESCRIPTION
Offering a $2,500 signing bonus and Relocation Assistance As the Director of Development and Community Relations, you will manage and coordinate fundraising activities for the organization in an effort to engage the community in the mission of Northern Rivers Family Services to benefit Northeast Parent & Child Society, Parsons Child and Family Services, and endlessPotential. You will report to the Chief of Advancement and work on-site. Responsibilities: »Create and execute fundraising campaigns to raise consciousness and raise funds including major gifts, employee giving, and appeals. »Create donor-related communications. »Utilize creative methods to attract new donors to the platform through social media, events, engagement, and other activities across of platform of diverse groups. »Design and produce promotional materials for agency special events and fundraising appeals. »Ensure the success of signature events, including planning, management, fundraising, and execution. »Provide oversight to community events to support Northern Rivers Family Services to benefit Northeast Parent & Child Society, Parsons Child and Family Center, and endlessPotential. »Maintain existing relationships and develop new relationships with current corporate and community partners, along with individual donors. »Support program staff to implement activities such as the holiday giving campaign. »Supervise and support Database and Donor Services Specialist and provide oversight of database administration. »Identify social and cultural trends and stay up to speed on emerging digital technologies to utilize for campaigning on social media. »Manage the grant application process and database and participate in the grant writing process. »Manage the volunteer program to ensure community relations and volunteer opportunities are fulfilled in line with mission and vision. Requirements and suitable education »Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of practice in fundraising, events, and/or grant writing practice.
