Your Day-to-Day:
- Develop strategic plans to achieve manufacturing targets and maximize capacity at each bakery location.
- Provide oversight and leadership for bakery operations, including engineering, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Deliver key performance indicators (KPIs) for revenue, volume, and cost of goods sold to meet business objectives.
- Formulate short- and long-term objectives and operational plans for bakery operations.
- Engage in a positive people strategy, including training at all levels.
- Review and analyze financial reports such as pricing matrices, P&Ls, KPIs, and budgets.
- Establish new processes to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Lead and assist in all manufacturing areas: formulation, baking process, quality control, engineering, sanitation, compliance, certification, and safety.
- Evaluate product quality daily and address product inconsistencies with responsible departments. Analyze downtime and efficiency data to minimize lost time and improve performance. Ensure compliance with all product labeling requirements.
- Collaborate with sales, purchasing, finance, IT, and other corporate departments to resolve challenges effectively.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's Degree in business or a related discipline is preferred. An Associate Degree with extensive bakery knowledge and experience will also be considered.
- 7-10 years of experience managing a successful bakery or foodservice operation for a top-quality brand.
- Proven ability to execute operational strategies and lead teams in a bakery or food production setting.
- Strategic, creative, and innovative thinking skills, with experience solving problems and improving processes.
- Exceptional communication skills-verbal, written, and listening-capable of engaging all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical skills to gather, interpret, and act on information.
- Highly motivated, organized, and able to balance multiple priorities independently.
- A sense of urgency, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, including weekend and holiday work as required.
- The ability to make effective decisions, even in complex or ambiguous situations.
- Excellent technical skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and other Windows-based applications.
- Willingness to travel.
- Transportation and distribution experience is a plus.
