Sr. Technology Support Technician

Listing description Senior Technology Support Technician provides lead technical support for all College owned computers and related technologies in computer labs, computer classrooms, library, smart classrooms, meeting rooms and offices. this job offer works on technical projects requiring skills and creativity in analysis and deployment of technology. RESPONSIBILITIES: »Plan and implement preventative maintenance system for computer labs, computer classrooms, smart classrooms and offices. »Collaborate with end users to ensure that appropriate software is installed and configured on computers. »Effectively collaborate with ITS technical support personnel with the implementation and support of all campus technology systems. »Serve as mentor and technical lead within a dynamic and effective Helpdesk / desktop team, providing insight and guidance on how new hardware and applications will be integrated across campus. »Manage the College's computer, peripheral and software inventories. »Act as liaison for Print Services. »Work with Technology Support Services Manager to manage desktop computer software licensing and conduct software audits to ensure compliance with software licensing requirements. »Work with Technology Support Services Manager to manage regular computer, software and related upgrade projects. »Identify, recommend and create the process to efficiently deploy software across campus utilizing remote deployment and virtualization. »Install and test software in computer labs, on office computers and on the network. »Develop, test and implement effective and efficient computer software imaging procedures. »Implement and maintain appropriate hardware and software located security systems including data encryption. »Manage the College's Lenovo Self Maintainer program. »Utilize Extron Global Viewer to remotely monitor and manage classroom AV technology. »Enforce College policies regarding technology such as the Acceptable Use Policy and Copyright Policy as well as applicable federal and state laws and regulations. »Foster positive end user relationships and drive customer satisfaction General Requirements: »Bachelors Degree with at least 4 years progressively responsible, professional practice in an information technology field. »A+ certification required. » skills managing the back end of the Help Desk Ticketing System and Resource Scheduler. » skills with Windows operating system including 10 and 11. » skills building and deploying software images. » practice with Microsoft's SCCM. » practice with JAMF. » skills with Extron Global Viewer or comparable system. » practice in maintaining computer labs, preferably in an academic setting. »Strong expertise of and practice with computer networking, particularly with current Windows, Macintosh, and Linux operating systems. » skills with antivirus and other malware avoidance, detection and removal systems. »Familiarity with software licensing and software license management tools. » practice utilizing Active Directory tools to manage users and computers. » practice with mobile device management. » skills with Data Encryption. »Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills required. »Creative and resourceful troubleshooting skills highly desired. »Management and managery skills and practice highly desired. » capability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks, projects and requests for assistance. » practice with Canvas or similar learning management systems desirable. » capability to lift and move items weighing up to fifty pounds. » capability to occasionally work from ladders and scaffolding. Additional Information: Full time, full-year position Work Schedule:  Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm Occasional evenings and weekends (planned ahead of time) to support key department and College initiatives(i.e., beginning and end of semesters, move in weekend, etc.).
