Job Summary The Director of Risk Management is responsible for the development, implementation and continuing administration of the Institute's risk management and insurance programs. The Director has responsibility for coordination of the Institute's annual insurance renewal, claims coordination and processing, contract review, and processing and monitoring of all insurance related expenses. The Director will work closely with the AVP for Finance in facilitating the Institute's Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Internal Audit programs. The Director will also assist in determining the most effective implementation of risk mitigation strategies for the Institute, while maintaining effective relationships with the Director of Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S), AVP for Public Safety and Emergency Management, the Director of Information Security, Human Resources, Export Controls and the Office of General Counsel in order to evaluate and implement enhancements in all areas relating to risk. Minimum Qualifications »Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, risk management or a related field »Minimum of eight (8) years of related and progressively responsible work practice in developing and implementing risk management and insurance technologies and tools »Proven leader dedicated to driving continuous improvement in operations. »Highly effective collaborator and team player willing to engage all over the organization and assist in establishing mutual priorities significant combinations of education, training and practice may be considered. Preferred Qualifications » practice with alternative risk finance programs such as self-insurance or captives.
