Job Summary The Environmental Specialist, Lead performs the tasks of an Environmental Specialist, Sr. and assists manager with the planning and scheduling of the Institute's standards for cleanliness in assigned areas, including residence halls, apartments, academic buildings, classrooms, athletic/recreational facilities, offices, and common areas. Serve as team leader for crew of assigned staff. Works in concert with other leads to support all campus wide events. Act on behalf of the manager during his/her absence. Minimum Qualifications »Three years of institutional/commercial cleaning or related practice including operation of various types of professional cleaning equipment »Valid US driver's license » candidates must meet stated minimum education and practice requirements. Minimum expertise, expertise, and Abilities » capability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic » capability to follow written and verbal instructions in English » capability to work independently and as a member of a team »Good communication and customer service expertise » capability to comply with standing instructions provided by operating manuals, material safety data sheets, safety rules and regulations for personal protection and safety regarding equipment and chemical usage »Demonstrated proficiency in operating job specific equipment, and sanitizing dispensing units » capability to provide direction and decisions for other team members »Basic computer expertise including Microsoft & job specific software (CMMS) »Demonstrated capability to train others and lead projects »Must have the capability to work flexible hours which may include, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays Shift Business Hours: Monday - Friday TravelLocal travel between campus locations only Driving Incidental driving possible, but not required Application instructions Follow the on-screen prompts to create an application.
