Payroll Associate

Boiling Point is a growing Taiwanese Hot Soup specialty restaurant with locations in the US and Canada. Purpose & Summary:

Maintain, prepare, and process payroll for organization personnel

Duties & Responsibilities:

o Ensure accurate processing and recording of company’s payroll, provide timely and accurate financial information, participate in daily data entry into Payroll processing software

o Perform daily payroll department operations

o Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information

o Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely

o Reconcile payroll prior to processing our outsourced payroll vendor and validate confirmed reports

o Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits

o Process correct garnishment calculations and compliance

o Perform other payroll related duties including but not limited to assisting with employee requests, reprints, reports for different departments as needed, and processing of accurate and year-end reporting when necessary (W2,etc)

o Provide necessary records and documentation to auditors

o Maintain personal health and sanitation standards

o Must be knowledgeable of all safety codes per BP's guidelines

o Ensure compliance with BP’s code of ethics, integrity and conduct

Minimum Qualifications:

o 1+ years of experience processing multi-state payroll

o Bilingual Mandarin Chinese preferred but not required

o Working knowledge of payroll best practices and strong knowledge of federal and state regulations

o Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills and friendly attitude with excellent customer service skills

o High degree of professionalism including ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information

o Able to multitask and work in a team environment

o Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

o Ability to meet strict deadlines and prioritize tasks

o Must be proficient in computer knowledge including MS Office Suite products, Paylocity (preferred), or other outsourced payroll software

o High School diploma preferred

o All candidates are subject to a background check and employment verification process

Physical demands:

o Ability to continuously stand or walk

o Ability to bend and lift 10 pounds occasionally

Work environment:

o Work will be conducted in an office environment

o May encounter temperatures ranging from 32 degrees to 425 degrees around equipment in the kitchen if needed to enter that area

o May occasionally walk on slippery surfaces

o Noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud
