Your Specific Responsibilities:
The incumbent in this position operates a motorized vehicle utilized for pick-up of TB patients, pick-up and delivery of supplies, material and human specimens for transportation. Possession of a valid Driver’s License appropriate to the type of vehicle operated.
Client Transportation
This position is primarily involved in the transportation of clients to and from the TB clinics for the TB Program in Miami-Dade County. This includes receiving appropriate internal referrals, scheduling, transportation appointments within 48 hours and organizing timely pick-up and drop-off of clients to enhance treatment compliance and completion. Collects transport request daily before leaving office in the morning and at the end of the day. Must maintain a daily log of clients referred and transported to clinic.
Maintenance of Vehicle
Inspects vehicle, and checks gas, oil and water before departure and performs routine maintenance. Reports delays, accident, or breakdown immediately. Complies with security policies, protocols, and procedures. Reports any suspected breach of security or confidentiality to supervisor within 24 hours. Responsible for keeping vehicle in good working condition, for driving it safely and courteously and for keeping it clean. Performs routine maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning, lubricating, recharging batteries, fueling.
Clinical Services
Transports human specimens to and from all (3) clinic sites for the TB program in Miami-Dade County. Per clinic request receives specimen collection. Pick up and delivers medical supplies to all (3) clinic sites and dry ice to Laboratory Services for drug levels specimen shipments. Conducts and/or ensures inventory is conducted monthly in all three TB Clinics. Ensures there is an adequate supply of medication in the clinic to fill unit needs. Keeps inventory of stock medications. Ensures that stock medication is rotated according to expiration dates and that mediation is pulled from the shelves before expiring.
HMS Data Entry/Timesheet Entries
Enters daily Client Services (CSR), completes Employee Activity Report (EARs), Reads emails for, completes timesheets and reviews daily scheduled client transportation services.
Performs other related duties as required.
