Job Description

We are seeking a skilled welder proficient with MIG welding to join our team. The ideal candidate will be able to layout, position, and secure plasma and cut parts using a straightedge, and perform welding in various positions including vertical up, vertical down, horizontal, and overhead. The candidate must be able to lift 50 pounds and read and interpret CAD drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG welding on various projects.
  • Layout, position, and secure plasma and cut parts using straightedge.
  • Weld in vertical up, vertical down, horizontal, and overhead positions.
  • Lift and handle materials up to 50 pounds.
  • Read and interpret CAD drawings to ensure accurate fabrication.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in MIG welding.
  • Ability to layout, position, and secure plasma and cut parts.
  • Capability to weld in multiple positions (vertical up, vertical down, horizontal, overhead).
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Skill in reading and interpreting CAD drawings.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in fabrication and pipe fitting.
  • Knowledge of stainless steel welding.
  • Proficiency in blueprint reading.

Work Environment

The facility is temperature-controlled and typically has music playing over speakers throughout the shift. PPE and tools are provided as needed, including work gloves, protective glasses, and hearing protection. Steel toes are required and must be provided by the employee. The facility is clean, organized, and recently updated with new restrooms, office spaces, and a paved parking lot. The shift hours are from 7:00am to 3:30pm with little to no overtime currently required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sheridan, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00
